Earlier this year, and after much consideration, I made the decision to run for Congress. It was not a decision I made lightly. But as I look at the problems facing our state and our nation, I know it was the right decision. I believe I can make a big difference and have a positive impact on our state and our country.

It' s clear to me that if respect for Congress is going to be restored, Congress is going to need some new faces with fresh ideas. If what's broken in Congress is going to be fixed, we need people who aren't a part of the problem to fix it. And if what's wrong with Congress is going to be made right, we need to elect people who have a track record of successfully tackling challenges and solving problems. That's what you and your family deserve.

Over the past 14 years, I have focused on creating and building a successful and profitable company, adding new jobs to our economy. I am proud to say that for two years in a row, we have been ranked by Inc. Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing private companies in America. That experience will help me to put our state and our country on the right track.

Like you, I see national polls that indicate many Americans have lost faith in our political institutions such as Congress. I understand that sentiment, but we can't afford to give up hope for the future. I certainly haven't!

One of the primary reasons the company I founded has been so successful is that we help companies solve problems and function more efficiently. As we serve them, they are better able to serve their customers.

That's what I want to take to Congress, a commitment first and foremost to serve you, because you will be my special interest. I'm asking you to give me the opportunity to prove to you that I am who I say I am, and will do what I say I will do. I will work hard and continually look for ways to solve problems, to be your voice, and to make government work for you and your family, rather than against you.
